Winning photos to be showcased in 2016 West Central calendar
RALSTON –Area photographers again have the opportunity to showcase their work in West Central’s annual photo contest. Members of the cooperative, local communities, and customers are invited to submit rural and agricultural-themed photos for the cooperative’s 2016 calendar.
“We encourage photographers to submit their best photos from all seasons for this contest,” said West Central’s director of communications Alicia Clancy. “We’re looking for great photos that demonstrate the difference our members, customers, and staff make in their communities, for their families and the agriculture industry.”
Entries are due by Thursday, Oct. 1, and will be judged by a panel of area public relations and communications experts. Again this year is an online contest for the back page photo. Facebook and Twitter fans can vote online for their choice of three photos Oct. 5-9, 2015.
Clancy encourages photographers to keep in mind a few months that are celebrated within the agriculture community. Photos are not required to align with the theme; however, preference may be given to these categories. May- Beef Month; June – Dairy Month; August – Soybean Month; September – Corn Month; and October, Pork Month.
Contest details and requirements are available online at west-central.com/photocontest/.
Winning photographers will receive a Visa gift card, a West Central goodie bag, and be showcased in the calendar. West Central’s 2016 calendars will be available at all West Central locations in December.
